fancylances vs. MetalMagpie & RavensScar (3-1) Magpie/Raven's: Nice setting of the initial scene- as I always say. In medias res works for your story here. Intense plot twist. It's a sure sign that we're on the finale when main characters start getting serious death threats. Your characters are certainly in their own sticky situations, but I'm having trouble getting behind their point of view. Perhaps if the emotions of the "bad guys" were more fleshed out, the situation would feel more like a real thing? It was nice to see the reasoning that "Papandreou" had, though. I like your opponent entrance. Nice and to-the-point. I also like that

LunaInvidia vs. MetalMagpie & RavensScar (0-4) "Vote: MetalMagpie & RavensScar The main reason Luna did not get my vote on this was due to what essentially felt like an incomplete story. That is to say, not everything felt as fleshed out as it should have been. The latter half of the entry was dominated mostly by dialogue and, while it gave a good sense of how the characters acted and behaved, it left little room for a good sense of tone. It also meant that everything seemed to move a little too fast. It felt like a rush from beginning to end, but it lacked the substance that could have made this manner of writing fun and adventurous. The descriptions and writing in the beginning part of the entry are good, but I'm not sure if it's totally necessary to detail his trip quite so fully. It might be better to sum up quick and skip straight to the action, unless this methodical stuff is going to be included in the story later. The United States Chicago, Illinois Raridan Tucker Tucker is kind of a shady character. Unable to keep down a respectable job in any time period, he's some kind of smuggler or booze runner for the mob. He probably took the checkpoint job as a side thing, just to make a little more cash, since it is obviously on the way to his illicit activities. His appearance is that of a man who doesn't actually care much about it, but has to look at least somewhat formal for his job. His hair is light brown; it's combed back, but it's a little unruly. A word to all entrants from DeadGP: "The main flaw I encountered with this round of entries was the lack of significant inclusion of opponents' characters in the competitors' entries. I mostly chalked it up to this being a number of the competitors' very first OCTs, as I can understand how one might think it odd to give much spotlight to characters that aren't their own. However, it is an integral part of any entry that weighs heavily into my, and many other judges' rulings on matches. fancylances - Summer's End "Grammer and spelling errors pop up, especially in the descriptions, which tend to run on and confuse rather than describe. Spell check can't catch everything, make sure you aren't using the wrong word. The characters feel well done. They have great potential for the rounds as the work together, although I felt like I didn't really understand the extra crew members, since we didn't see them enough. The plot went along a bit quickly, like you were just trying to get all the necessary steps out of the way. I don't mean to sound harsh, it's not a bad audition. My advice, just take your time a bit more so we can see t
